Measuring the Economic Benefits of America's Everglades Restoration
Everglades Foundation
Mather Economics completed a Ecosystem Services Valuation for a restored Everglades and a future non-restored state. The incremental ecosystem services value was compared to the cost of restoration to provide an estimated return on investment for those funds. Ecosystem services valued by our team included fresh water supply, real estate, tourism, open space, commercial and recreational fishing, hunting, and habitat.
